UCSF Medical School is the only medical school to rank in the top 10 in both research and primary care. What makes this school so unique is that students from California get to go here for free. Even then, out-of-state students attend here for a cost that is around a fourth of private medical programs, like the other four.

This medical program has been in the top 10 every single year since the rankings have been published. Founded in 1891, Washington University in St. Louis has had some great success due to its faculty. 17 Noble laureates have been part of the faculty at Washington University in St. Louis.
